Bento: Plain Fried Rice

Assalamualaykum, Breakfast? Lunch? Brunch? Brunch is the new term coined  when people starts combining their breakfast and lunch together. it is definitely not a healthy living. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Never skip your breakfast for a healthy living. Plus ..... take a healthy breakfast; not the nasi lemak and roti canai; our favourite.  ;-p This is my breakfast. Plain fried rice with some sauteed mushroom. Extras.... I have it for lunch as well. It saves me from going out. It saves me from eating out. It saves my money as well. Eating home cooked food is always the best. But.....bento is not my everyday event. Only will do it if I have the will and energy to get busy in the kitchen at the wee hours in the morning. This plain fried rice is extremely simple. And its our (my husband and me) favourite's. To make it, you only need : 1 bowl of cooked rice - cooled 1 egg 2 dried chillis - just break it into coarse pieces Any vegetabl

So filling too.  Bon appetite... Wassalam

Kicap..o..kicap

Assalamualaykum, Kicap ... o ... kicap. Maaf, ini bukan iklan kicap. Tapi masakan hari ni tiba-tiba terlalu berkicap. But, this is what my husband love the most. Anything berkicap is always his favourite. As the wife, we cook as what he likes. Jadi tema hari ni KICAP. Top: Telur masak kicap Bottom: Kacang panjang goreng kicap. Ini aje lah yang sempat aku masak untuk juadah Jumaat. Maklum la ... sampai rumah hampir pukul 1.00 tengahari, aku terus meluru ke dapur dan memulakan tugasa seperti yang dirancangkan (while driving, I have everything planned in my head: what to cook; what needs to be done first; and how will the job sequence be).  Mula-mula, masak nasi. Then goreng telur. Kacang

Roti Bakar Berinti

Assalamualaykum, Dah lama tak jejalan kat dapur orang. Cari ilham masakan. Tapi.. being the lazy me, i did not cut the crust off for reasons: i. Kalau buang kerak tu, siapa la pulak yang nak makan kerak tu. ii. Kalau takde orang makan kerak tu, ianya satu pembaziran. pembaziran tu kawan syaitan. iii. Aku suka makan kerak walaupun rupanya tidak cantik (jangan pandang pada rupa) Top view of the product. Bahan inti : (inti karipap versi 'me') 1 Kentang - dipotong kiub kecil-kecil 1 bawang besar - didadukan juga Daging cincang - dalam anggaran 4 sudu besar 1 sudu besar rempah kari daging (apa-apa jenama, kalau boleh la yang menyumbang ke pusat zaka

Cucur udang rangup sempoiii.

Assalamualaykum, At times, we have cravings. Cravings to eat certain food, sometimes, it can be any simple food. This is what happen to me, one late afternoon, i crave for Cucur Udang. I crave for the crispy cucur udang but the one I normally make is not the crispy type. Therefore, I put some effort into getting some tips and tricks ... asking friends and Mr Google. And this is the result. I am not sure about others, but it satisfies my cravings. After thorough consideration, I opted to use this recipe, the combination of tips from here and there. Credits go to everyone even though I might not be able to mention their names. Kuetiau Gulung + Tomyam Lemon Noxxa

Assalamualaykum, Ada satu malam 'ter'rajin sikit nak menggulung. Idea ni dapat masa makan di rumah sepupu long time ago. And I suddenly feels like eating it. So here it is. Kuetiao Gulung 1 paket kuetieao 3 biji telur 2 sudu susu segar 1. Kuetiao dicelur seketika. 2. Telur dan susu dikacau bersama dan didadarkan nipis di atas kuali tidak melekat. 3. Letakkan kuetiao di atas telur dadar tadi dan gulung. 4. Ulang sehingga kesemua telur habis digunakan. My cousin had this kuetiao with soup, but i feel like having tomyam. But I do not have the tomyam paste nor the lime juice. So I decided to make the Tomyam putih' and use lemon for the soury taste. Its delicious, Alhamdulillah. By the way, I used the Noxxa pressure cooker, which help to expedite the whole cooking process. I never regret buying the pressure cooker even though there's only the two of us eating.
