Healthy oat pancake with corn and nutella

Clam Bamboo

As salam alaykum.

I urged to go to Pasar Tani instead of our usual wet market at Section 6. My husband was curious because we normally go there only to get red meat supply and we had some recently (trying not to take too many red meat in our diet). I told him that I wanted to get something different and tired of buying the same mackerel, black pompret or jenahak, or sea bass. He agreed.

Reached there early, throngs of people are already there. We scout for prawns and clams and landed me with baby lobster, mussels and bamboo clam. Never cook the bamboo clam before, I searched the internet for possible recipe.

Here goes the ingredients for the Chilli Bamboo Clam.

Washed bamboo clam
1 onion - blended
3 cloves of garlic - blended
Lemon grass - knocked
3 tbs chilli paste
1 tbsp oyster sauce
Salt and sugar to taste
Kaffir leafs for the aroma

Just saute the lemon grass and blended ingredients in a wok till you can smell the aroma.
Add the chilli paste and oyster sauce. Let it cook.
Add the bamboo clam. No additional water is needed as the clams will release its liquid.
Let it cook and season it to taste.
Once cooked, put in the kaffir leave, turn off the heat and cover the wok.

It's delicious and extremely easy to prepare.

Bon Appetite.

Kerabu Kacang Kelisa

As salam alaykum.

Perhaps i should put my theme as 'Healthy food'. Here is another healthy food that I would like to share. It's the "kerabu".s

Some calls it "kerabu" while others call it "urap" and westeners might want to call it "salad". It is fresh vege mixed with other ingredients to give an appealing taste.

I call it "kacang kelisa" but some calls it "kacang botol or botor". "kacang kelisa" is known to northen part of West Malaysia.

Preparing it is easy.

What you need are:
About 10 stalks of kacang kelisa
Grated coconut - preferably only the white
2 red chilli
1 onion
Tamarind juice and salt to season

Slice the kacang kelisa finely and put aside.
Put all other ingredientvin the dry blender and blend till all the ingredients are finely blended.
Mix the blended ingredients into the sliced kacang kelisa. Mix well.

Ready for consumption.
