Pizza o Pizza

Salam alaykum. Pizza anyone? This is the instant version with the ready made ingredients. This was an overdue post. A group of Sabrina's friend came over for a short break from school on one Friday afternoon. Each brought their own lunch pack from school so I need not prepare them anything. But, be it children or adult, they are still the guest of our house. And guest must be treated accordingly as prescribed by Islamic teaching. To provide them with hospitality and serve them with good food that we have. Feeling guilty not serving them anything, I dig into the fridge to find anything that could be served. Preferably is to the children's liking and found enough ingredient for and instant pizza-like dish. What I found from the fridge: The plain Kawanku flexi Ready made cooked  minced beef Pizza sauce Vegeies - tomato, broccoli Cheese - mozarella and cheddar Therefor, I decided to: Spread the sauce onto the Kawanku. Topped with the minced beef, vegies and cheese....

French beans Pizza

Salam all, Yiihhaaa .... my third blog update in a row!!! Not bad huh for someone who did not regularly update her blog. And now it's Pizza time. I made it last week, Tuesday (yes, I remembered the day very well because it was ayah's badminton day). The kids refuse to eat rice, they just had 'goreng pisang' and some 'kuih muih' after returning from school and said that they were full and do not want to eat anymore. Ayah, as usual will not eat rice on his badminton's night. Therefore, at 8pm, I started to prepare the dough and two hours later, the pizza is already in the oven. Hmmm .... fresh homemade pizza! Fresh from the oven!!! Wonderfully delicious!!! You can pick your own toppings!!! For me, why french beans? Let's read what I found about french beans from here : Consumption of French Beans helps in toning spleen and kidneys Increasing haemoglobin count and provides energy to the body without adding calories. alleviating swelling stomach ,bad appeti...

Colourful Organic Pasta

Salam, Have you ever seen a colourful pasta??? It's my first time. I found it from a COsway store. It looks very tempting that I bought a packet of it (quite sometime already). Cooked it before but never got the chance to snap a photo of it. So, this time, I make sure I take a photo of it. Futhermore, this is the last stock available in kitchen storage. It has three colours - pink, blue and yellow. It claims that the colours are based on organic plants not artificial colours - just hope that it's true. What do I do with the pasta??? I fried it with some dry mushroom, vege and minced meat. It's lovely. The pasta itself tasted good. The ingredients: 1 handfull of pasta - boiled and dried. 2 table spoon of olive oil 1 clove of onion 2 cloves of garlic 1 red chilli - sliced 3 dried mushroom - soaked till soft and sliced 2-3 table spoon of minced beef 1 tomato diced Carrot (sliced thinly) - amount is up to your own taste Capsicum - sliced Black pepper and salt to taste Herbs fla...

Bergedil Ayam Rangup (Ala la Chicken Fritters)

Sometimes kids are bored with chicken in it's ordinary form. So let's make it extra-ordinary. I made Bergedil Ayam or can I call it chicken fritters? The ingredients: Chicken breast (minced) Potato (sliced thinly and fried) A tablespoon of corn flour Salt & pepper (to taste) parsley (if you like) Tempura flour (mixed in water) Cooking oil How to: Put all the ingredients except the tempura flour and parsley into a blender. Blend till mix. (Do not overblend as it will turn the chicken quater-cooked). Once mixed, take it out into a bowl and add the parsley. Form the ingredients into small balls and a bit to flatten it. In another bowl, mixed the tempura flor and water to form a batter. Heat the cookig oil. Dip the flatten ingredients into the batter and fry till brownish in colour. Whalla! Simple isn't it. I use the tempura flour to replace the egg which people normally use as my dear Sabrina is allergy to egg. As a result, i got this crunchy chicken fritter(at least the o...

Atikah's Special Double Burger

For the 9th Ramadhan, the kids opt for a western break fast. They wanted a home made burger, Well, Alhamdulillah , simple task for me. But as usual, Atikah will not be satisfied with my ordinary burger recipe, so she made some modification to the recipe. This is the burger in making. If you look closely, you can see that the burger is going to be wrapped in the egg which has been mixed with evaporated milk, black pepper and sliced cheese. The finish product? Had not enough time to take a shot of it as I was too busy with other preparation. And after azan call for maghrib prayer, it was all too late as the burger peacefully rest in her intestine. Atikah is most of the time creative with food, if she has the mood for cooking (which is very seldom).

Instant Pizza

This is an instant pizza, made for my kids 'food pack' for school. The kids like it, ibu is happy because it is easy to make. Ingredients: Few slices of sandwich loaf (I used Gardenia) Sliced cheese (mine is Cheesedale - if not mistaken), sliced thinly. (Grated cheese will also work). Sausage Capsicum - sliced Sauce (Mix all): 1 table spoon of tomato sauce 1 table spoon of oyster sauce 1 table spoon of spaghetti sauce 1 table spoon of chilli sauce (if u like, but not for my kids) How to: 1. Spread the mixed sauce onto the sandwich loaf. 2. Arrange the sausage and capsicum. 3. For the top layer, arrange the thinly sliced cheese. 4. Baked in the oven 180 degree for about 10 minutes. Off the kids to school with a healthy food during recess. But belief me, they will still get something else fromt he canteen which are more tempting.

Strawberry chocolate

This is a very, extremely simple recipe. The strawberries were bought during our family trip to Cameron Higland last December (resipi ni pun dah lama .... bukan la baru buat, or else strawberry tu pasti dah lebur) . I got the idea for this from Pah (Musfirah). Instead of buying those strawberry chocolate at the Pasar Malam, it'll be great to try doing it at home. The kids LOVE it .... nak beli mahal oooo .... How did I do it? Simple. Double boiled the cooking chocolate. Once ready, dip the strawberry into it. We (Atikah and me) used chopsticks to hold the strawberry in order not to spoil it if using a fork (guna tangan pun boleh, tapi takut orang kata tak hygiene le pulak ...) . And its ready for eating. Nyum! Nyum! Jimat dan Bersih!!
