Hello there! Anybody at home??? I has been too quiet, tooooooo quiet for sooo lonnnnnng.</p><p>I smiled when seeing that there was only one posting in the year 2020. Each beginning of the year, I promise myself to be an active writer or blogger ... but never gets fulfilled. Too busy? Too lazy? Well it can be for many reasons. So .... let's mark an entry for 2021, and see if many more to follow.</p><p>This is a pretty simple recipe to make. The only effort. required here is to thinly sliced the white cabbage.<br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibVb5SBffw2l8XPv4Dn6TlzAxfbGmSbOnKgn50h_T1-Ox2bzDZGnGS4OtrKkCGh0oWfydm3nlp8iGBlzp36FovKefv3T7Qhf4m2n2pf_D-VA3hwH1r7epsn00SoKxy4tI0x4V9a680eKY/s2048/IMG_6558.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibVb5SBffw2l8XPv4Dn6TlzAxfbGmSbOnKgn50h_T1-Ox2bzDZGnGS4OtrKkCGh0oWfydm3nlp8iGBlzp36FovKefv3T7Qhf4m2n2pf_D-VA3hwH1r7epsn00SoKxy4tI0x4V9a680eKY/s320/IMG_6558.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p>This three ingredients salad is nice to have with rice or on sandwiches (you can strain it after a while).</p><p>The ingredients:</p><p>Pieces of white cabbage - soak in a plain water for about 30 minutes. This will make it crispier. The thinly slice it.</p><p>1 large Onion and red chillies - also thinly sliced.</p><p>Put everything in a bowl. Season it with vinegar (any kind will do), salt and sugar. Balance the taste. Mix well. Refrigerate it for few minutes. </p><p><br /></p><p>Here you go ... a tasty salad for lunch, sandwich tea or dinner.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>water lilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10181497875800193709noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9088142067577323708.post-1387873075167306292020-05-27T00:25:00.001-07:002020-05-27T00:25:40.056-07:00Briyani Rice Hentam SajalahAssalamualaikum<div><br /></div><div>I wanted to prepare Nasi Briyani for Iftar the other day, but we did not have any Briyani Spices at home. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 potatoes - diced</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 onions - diced</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(Can also add celery if available)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 table spoon of multi purpose flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Salt and pepper</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgyVHn5Vn_39_QYwUGWylMJwxHa5jTy1RW65y425ZHzxVLDVaeRISSYwOnO8M5wjR79Mugj9VXdW7Gr7-CwiJhfoqGbktsK2CQyQ8U9aM211pMJRo8cp1TytjJ72d1leIRV-3Gu4L0oNQ/s1600/20161016_153656.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgyVHn5Vn_39_QYwUGWylMJwxHa5jTy1RW65y425ZHzxVLDVaeRISSYwOnO8M5wjR79Mugj9VXdW7Gr7-CwiJhfoqGbktsK2CQyQ8U9aM211pMJRo8cp1TytjJ72d1leIRV-3Gu4L0oNQ/s640/20161016_153656.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1. Saute the onion till tender, add the chicken meat and potato. let it cooked and tender.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2. Add the onion</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3. Season it with salt and pepper</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
4. Add fresh milk or cream</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
5. Thicken it with multi purpose flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Whalla --- the filling is ready!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now for the pastry.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As it is a fast to cook version, therefore ibu opted to using the ready made pastry from Kawanku. There are many other brands on the shelf, all are equally good to be used.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ibu lined the small pie mold with the pastry, add the filling and later cover the top with some strips from the same pastry dough.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can also cover the whole of the surface, but remember to make some dent for evaporation.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next, bake it in the oven until golden brown. Dont ask me about the temperature setting as ibu always failed at that. It will always be a trial and error session. However so far, it turns out well. Alhamdulillah.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Okay children, your bento is ready.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a super easy peasy chicken pie.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But surely it does require strength and motivation to do it and cleaning after that .....</div>

<p dir="ltr">Its red snapper again. Well.... i bought an almost a kilo red snapper's tail and there's only two of us.</p>
<p dir="ltr">As usual... I will always find the easiest way and approah to cook.... the fastest too. And this is what i make using the air fryer. Healthier insha Allah. </p>
<p dir="ltr">1 slice of red snapper marinated with the salt and tumeric powder. Then sprinkle some olive oil.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I laid a piece of aluminium foil so that the fish will not stick to the wire rack of the air fryer. I raise the edges of the foil so that any excessive oil will not drain to the bottom of the fryer. This is for easy cleaning too.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Then i placed the fish. Set the temperature to 160 and time for about 15 minutes. I turned the air fryer on. And.... whalla! The fish is ready. It is so juicy and tender.</p>
<p dir="ltr">For the french beans... i cleaned it. Put into the skillet and sprinkle some olive oil. Turn the heat on and begin turning or flipping the beans (as they cooked very fast). When ready, just add pinch of salt and pepper to taste. And.... serve it.</p>
<p dir="ltr">You can either have it on its own..but for us Msian... i know that we would crave for rice to go with it.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Bon appetite ....</p>

<p dir="ltr">Its Friday. Its home-cooked lunch. And today is not a so good day. I woke up at the wrong side of the bed.... i was dizzy. But ...i still lunch for my day, so i opted for something simple and fast. The fish soup.</p>

<p dir="ltr">It might look tempting... but believe me, its left overs.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I had some left over lamb stew from the recent qurban which I kept it frozen in the freezer. As I am still lethargic, i dont feel like cooking. Some twisting here and there might do some trick to turn this left overs to become a mouth watering dish. Therefore I decided to have the stew with some croutons, garlic bread and some grilled broccoli.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I reheat the stew on a slow heat. While reheating, i began washing my broccoli, cut it, drizzle with salt and pepper and... in it go into the heated oven for about 5 minutes or so. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Then I move into preparing the bread. I quickly spread the garlic butter onto the loaf and toast it over the stove on a gridle.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Next is to prepare the croutons. When buying a loaf, the outer layer was seldom touched by the family except the mother, that is me.... so I decided to turn it into an inresistable dish - croutons. I simply cut it into small squares. Then, using the same gridle, after toasting the garlic bread, on the low heat I toasted the sliced bread and sprinkle some olive oil. Frequently turning it to make sure that all are evenly toasted. In a while, all are ready for plating. </p>
<p dir="ltr">And ..... dinner is served under 30 minutes. Alhamdulillah </p>
<p dir="ltr">Wassalam.<br>

<p dir="ltr">Lets crabbing for today. </p>
<p dir="ltr">We plan for seafood dish for today: the crab and bamboo clam For bamboo clam, its going to be cooked in chilli, what about for the crab?</p>
<p dir="ltr">After a long discussion, we opted for something very simple. The buttered crab. Not battered but buttered. Alhamdulillah the experiment was a success. It tasted good. You can enjoy the sweetness of the crab unlike if it is cooked in a gravy.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><b>Buttered Crab</b></p>
<p dir="ltr">5 crabs; cyt into half and washed<br>
5 garlics - crushed<br>
Handful curry leafs<br>
3 table spoon butter<br>
Pepper</p>
<p dir="ltr">1. Heat the wok. And add butter.<br>
2. When the melts, quickly add crushed garlic and the curry leafs. Fry till brownish.<br>
3. Add crabs. Put the lid on. Let it a while until the crab is well cooked (or to your liking).<br>
4. Sprinkle pepper.</p>
<p dir="ltr">It' s ready..a short cooking a preparation time PLUS its delicious.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Bon appetite.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Wassalam.<br>

<p dir="ltr">I know it has been a long silence. That's normal as I am not a hardcore blogger. Doing this just as a stress-free activity ☺.</p>
<p dir="ltr">And today is A Nasi Daging on our get together meals. Lunch when everybody is around. I made some dalca too to have with the Nasi Daging but did not snap a photo of it. In fact this photo is the only one I had managed to snap before everybody hungrily feasting it.</p>
<p dir="ltr">My recipe: <br>
3 cups of rice<br>
1/2 kg Beef <br>
1 large Onion and garlic - sliced<br>
1 inch ginger - sliced<br>
The three stooges - cinnamon, star anise and clove<br>
1 tomato - cubed<br>
2 table spoon of cooking oil<br>
2 table spoon of kurma powder</p>
<p dir="ltr">Boil a half kilo beef in the Noxxa pressure cooker for about 45 minutes for tenderness. Make sure the boiling water will be sufficient for cooking the rice later.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Meanwhile, in another pot, saute the onion, garlic, ginger and the three stooges in a hot oil. Add tomato.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Then, I added some thinly sliced beef and the kurma powder. Add some water. Cook till the meat is tender</p>
<p dir="ltr">When the boiled beef is ready. Take the beef out. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Since I wanted to use the Noxxa for the 7 minutes cooking, I remove the beef and its boiled water to another container. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Gently pour the sauted ingredients into the Noxxa pot. Set to stir fry. (The task will be simpler if you have two inner pots).</p>
<p dir="ltr">Add the washed rice. Mixed well. Then add the liquid from beef stock. Add some salt of course. Turn the stir fry off. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Then turn the high pressure on and set to 7 minutes cooking. That' s it.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Meanwhile, prepare the 'Air Asam' which is a must to accompany the Nasi Daging.</p>
<p dir="ltr">For the Air Asam:<br>
* 3 red chillis<br>
* 2 cili api (you can have more if you want)<br>
* About 1 inch belacan<br>
Blend all these ingredients in a blender with just a small amount of water.</p>
<p dir="ltr">One large onion - thinly sliced<br>
2 tomatoes - thinly sliced<br>
Quater tea spoon of Adabi Asam Jawa xtra<br>
1 tea spoon kerisek ( i did not put this as my Sabrina is allergic to coconut)</p>
<p dir="ltr">Combine everything into the blended ingredients. Add some salt and a pinch of sugar. Mix well.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The beef that was boiled earlier should be sliced thinly and to be eaten with Air Asam and Nasi Daging.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Yups. That's all. When the rice is ready, it is ready to eat. You can enjoy it with dalca and some papadam.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Its a delicious alternative for iftar too.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Wassalam.<br><br></p>

Assalamualaikum,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is my breakfast. It is the 'Cucur Carrot'. Malaysian is famous with CUCUR. With Cucur Udang, Cucur Bilis, Cucur Jagung, and Cucur Kodok@Cekodok.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The base for these cucur is the same. It uses the same batter. Only different in its flavor. The batter differs from one cook to another.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My base (batter):</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
About 1 cup of water</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
About 3/4 cup of multipurpose flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A pinch of salt to taste</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1 large onion sliced thinly</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The batter must not be too runny nor too thick. If it is too runny, it will trap lots of oil when frying. If it is too thick, it will be hard when cold. Through experience one can get the correct consistency just by looking at it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Some people use the cold water to mix the batter and others use the hot water. But I simply use the plain water.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr0Z00dETzl2RcDmzjXCt3RFf9ZOa-Jc5yqChheeaB-FA52lPErTihCsjMq4QVovhJUrxkJAG8hiBGUF83kAO2uCGPrvLs8jWFliIo7lFz6ydR42KJxhMhWTpqqlV5DQkyW91SOIYKKZM/s1600/img1453344172043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr0Z00dETzl2RcDmzjXCt3RFf9ZOa-Jc5yqChheeaB-FA52lPErTihCsjMq4QVovhJUrxkJAG8hiBGUF83kAO2uCGPrvLs8jWFliIo7lFz6ydR42KJxhMhWTpqqlV5DQkyW91SOIYKKZM/s640/img1453344172043.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Almost on alternate mornings, I will make the carrot juice or any other fruit juices. When juicing carrot, the residue is plenty. I thought it is a waste to just through the fiber of the carrot that I tried making it into cucur. This is my second attempt after the first successful attempt. To my surprise, the cucr turn out to be very delicious. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
With the same batter I normally make any cucur, I simply add about 4 table spoons of the carrot residue (reduced some flour). The cucur turn to be so soft and crunchy at the same time. Even when it is eaten cold. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And for this second attempt, I added some fresh shredded corn to it as well. So you have carrot and corn cucur at one go. Alhamdulillah... it's delicious. Now you dont have to waste your carrot residue after juicing it anymore. Next I will trying to make a carrot muffin from the residue. Cross finger.. with Allah's will, hopefully it will turn out delicious too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Happy trying. Wassalam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Sambal lagi???
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Dan kali ini kita persembahkan Sambal Udang Kering bersama Dua Terung. Terung pipit (belanda) dan terus panjang. It's marvelous.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Better not blabbering too much. Now lets get down to cooking business. It's the recipe:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBm-SuxA8kceBIrsB1E1fwxJIUbxlgJfWsphv7pXenQv9YVxHuXmw2PcGHgjnJ7GeHrkJ8udpLKVKX03Fq02RYqhvVR-I_U3H5bfG5n5ebIuZTY9quNVKnHvz0Q10NfiVBIcO6tzV2Bkc/s1600/20151218_141821.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBm-SuxA8kceBIrsB1E1fwxJIUbxlgJfWsphv7pXenQv9YVxHuXmw2PcGHgjnJ7GeHrkJ8udpLKVKX03Fq02RYqhvVR-I_U3H5bfG5n5ebIuZTY9quNVKnHvz0Q10NfiVBIcO6tzV2Bkc/s640/20151218_141821.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>The ingredients: (this is exactly how I did it)</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 handful of 'terung belanda'</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 brinjal (terung panjang)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 table spoon of blended dried shrimp *</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 large onion (diced)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 garlics</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
About 10 achovies</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 full table spoon cooked chilli paste **</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
some tamarind juice</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
salt and sugar to taste</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 table spoon cooking oil</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>For fast cooking on a busy working day, I normally get my stuffs pre-cooked</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
* the dried shrimps were washed, rinsed and blended dry and stored in the freezer. whenever I need to use it for any cooking, example for frying rice, I simply take a teaspoon of it and add it as additional flavours.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
** I had never used bought chilli boh in my cooking. The chilli paste was home made from the dried chilli bought at the store. I cut it to smaller versions, soaked in water to make it tender and at the same time removes any unwanted residue. Blend it wet, Then cooked in a slow heat for about 1 hour. Adding water occasionally not to let it burn. Some suggested that we should add sugar and salt while simmering it. It's up to individual. I preferred to cook it bare as I feel easier to adjust the taste to any dish later. To use it, I simply take a table spoon or two depending on the amount required and my cooking becomes very fast as I do not need to wait for a long time for the chilli to cook anymore.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All this preparation was done on weekends- the non-office day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now back to our dish for today:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Begin with preparing the brinjal. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cut into quaters. Then coat with salt. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In a wok, fry it slightly till tender on both sides. Put a side.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The 'terung belanda' are boiled to tender.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1. In the same wok or cooking pot, heat the oil (use also the remaining oil from frying the brinjal) and add the onions and garlic. Fry to tender.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2. Add chilli paste and some water. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3. Add the anchovies and dried shrimps. Let it cooked.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
4. Add the tamarind juice, sugar, and salt. Taste.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
5. When you get the taste that you want, add the brinjal and terung belanda.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
6. Let it mix. Then serve.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Eat it with hot rice... Alhamdulillah. You would want more,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wassalam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Assalamualaikum</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Good morning everybody. Let's have breakfast. It's simple pancake today. But i enjoyed it with the homemade strawberry compote. Alhamdulillah.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUKWvvW013n8DSnRCo9VdU8nQ26qJdzrBa1mPgu58scFBpAho_WMVPYsss_vYmLJQi7OPymhqCzG4wWE0_OtW5z4rOaYxd_24fBNUx_aF4Vz2KLcqsGTeM73-tVtP9ZLlOtPKuQcGL7-o/s1600/20151127_074834.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUKWvvW013n8DSnRCo9VdU8nQ26qJdzrBa1mPgu58scFBpAho_WMVPYsss_vYmLJQi7OPymhqCzG4wWE0_OtW5z4rOaYxd_24fBNUx_aF4Vz2KLcqsGTeM73-tVtP9ZLlOtPKuQcGL7-o/s640/20151127_074834.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After several blogwalks, I decided to try this recipe from the famous Cik Mat Gebu's Dapur Tanpa Sempadan. And as usual with my own measurement and fittings:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 egg</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 teaspoon baking powder</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 cup plain flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
some fresh milk to the correct consistency</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
pinch of salt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Simply add everything in a bowl to form a batter. Later, ladle it onto a non-stick frying pan.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can see it will start bubling. Flip it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wait till the other side is golden colour too then remove from the pan to your plate.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Its delicious to enjoy it hot or cold.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-GyAyWWYZjsnBzCTazrap2kiJ-U18-j0REmK3SBQXIzz83QpnYn-ao0XWOcffoyKM4IDOciMAwq-VOyNV2x3UkJji5W-v6O_afTFi2v0MraNVmK9SjntE2ZJipMCsxp_rMkOp3w6oh0M/s1600/20151127_074852.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-GyAyWWYZjsnBzCTazrap2kiJ-U18-j0REmK3SBQXIzz83QpnYn-ao0XWOcffoyKM4IDOciMAwq-VOyNV2x3UkJji5W-v6O_afTFi2v0MraNVmK9SjntE2ZJipMCsxp_rMkOp3w6oh0M/s640/20151127_074852.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the strawberry compote, I search several recipies too. And decided to give a try since I have quite a lot of strawberry from the recent trip to Cameron Highland.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wash the strawberries and rinse thoroughly. Cut the them into half.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Put in a pot on a slow heat. Add sugar (you need to adjust the sugar to your liking). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Let the strawberries become tender and boiling.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Squeeze in some lemon juice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(I made a mistake by putting water and my compote became too runny).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Let it simmer. Then turn off the heat. Do not let it burn.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cool it. Put in a bottle and refrigerate it for future consumption.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also have it with my morning oat meal.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wassalam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Assalamualaykum,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This was our dinner last night. We had the coleslaw as a side dish together with the burger. And it is eggless as I am using the eggless mayonaise.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Just like the chef in Farm Rules (Astro Channel 727) say, 'Chop Chop .....' , this is also about chop, chop add sauce. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used about 5 layers of purple cabbage and about 2 inches of carrot for three servings. I thinly sliced the cabbage and grate the carrot.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the sauce (Sorry if I got it wrong), I used:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2 tablespoon eggless mayo</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 teaspoon lemon juice</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 table spoon sweet condensed milk</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
about 1 tablespoon or less olive oil</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
salt and pepper to taste</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Simply put everything into a bowl. Whisk it to thoroughly mix it. I added olive oil to smoothen the mixture because eggless mayo is thick and tend to be lumpy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKhQndOdzd8T-dZjrqZ2JcQi6GsDeCSWs97bcds5Y8dIQA-4egW-iQBNpLboGe-FyNUL2e6vre9fFlKXHeuoES1qgiwG38bvkyg8BIkQG8ZSdnsiMJemig4V2sK5V096V5vibf48MdBjw/s1600/20151125_193022.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKhQndOdzd8T-dZjrqZ2JcQi6GsDeCSWs97bcds5Y8dIQA-4egW-iQBNpLboGe-FyNUL2e6vre9fFlKXHeuoES1qgiwG38bvkyg8BIkQG8ZSdnsiMJemig4V2sK5V096V5vibf48MdBjw/s640/20151125_193022.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my first attempt .... and ... Alhamdulillah ... it's delicious. Thank you Allah for the great food.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wassalam</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Assalam all,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This my dinner last night. Simple fried spaghetti with purple cabbage in fresh tomatoes and basil. Garnished with mint. Full of flavors. The motivation comes from the need to cook whatever is in the fridge and health conscious as well. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Colors are good for health. Each colors in the variety of food provides different nutrients that the body needs. So... there you go: orange (tomatoes) + purple (cabbage) + green (basil and mint) + some protein from the minced chicken meat for tasty flavor.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Assalamualaykum,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Having simple menu tonight. Some sandwiches and salad. Here goes my salad:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjff-RHsGbKClcR5rzohfS2X8Mr2NfZuWi0wQFx1tGhGj34NlZXxL7gl-L3CeIhfMMl-A_KGnKkei4AgVERtdcD5wqSrCoZJAqOiwk7lql-d4lew5IKIDwBRP-0uWG3JKj077DxSI_bbqM/s1600/20151113_211318.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjff-RHsGbKClcR5rzohfS2X8Mr2NfZuWi0wQFx1tGhGj34NlZXxL7gl-L3CeIhfMMl-A_KGnKkei4AgVERtdcD5wqSrCoZJAqOiwk7lql-d4lew5IKIDwBRP-0uWG3JKj077DxSI_bbqM/s640/20151113_211318.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have some left over baked sweet potatoes from the morning. I shred some green lettuce. And for the vinaigrette I simply used the lemon juice + olive oil + some salt + pepper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Mix everything well. And you get a healthy and delicious salad.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the sweet potato:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I thinly sliced it. Arrange it on the hot grill that has been sprinkled with some olive oil, Then sprinkle salt and pepper and olive oil on its surface. Turn it over when it seems ready (just do not let it burnt). To make a salad, I further cut it to finger sized. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Enjoy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
